Putty Timeout issues

By Default on Windows, Putty is set to not send keep alive packets and sometimes times shells out.

Very annoying if you are developing remotley.

Instead of 0, add a number like 30(seconds) which it will send a keep alive to maintain the TCP connection.

See below:

-Open Putty

-open “Connection” tab

-Under “Sending of null packets to keep session active – Seconds between keepalives (0 to turn off)”, enter a value in the textbox. for example 30( this is secound)

-Go to “Session” and save this as “Default Settings”. every time you open putty, for new session read default Settings
